Raquel was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but grew up in upstate South Carolina. Growing up, she always had a passion for the beauty industry, especially makeup. She graduated high school in 2021 where she went to a career center and got her esthetics license at eighteen. After high school, she went to Southern Wesleyan University where she studied Business Administration and played division two women’s golf. During her freshman year of college, she got the opportunity to go to New York Fashion Week as a makeup artist which opened her eyes to her true passions in life. After a tough decision, she decided to leave college and go to Cosmetology school starting in August of 2022.
Raquel’s passion for the beauty industry keeps her hustling when it comes to prom, pageants, weddings, and special event makeup. She also does waxing and lash extensions with more certifications to come. “Making people feel beautiful and confident is the best feeling in the world” she says. Her dream is to open a beauty bar and to travel the world doing makeup and hair.
